Blackjack Tips
Just like every game in the casino like The Paris in Las Vegas, when you play blackjack the house has the advantage over you and there isn’t very much you can do about it. I would suggest learning a card counting method so that you can lower the house advantage. There are a few practical and simple blackjack counting strategies which you can find online and will help you win more money. Apart from counting the cards there are also some other easy tips every blackjack player can follow and we’re going to share some of those with you today.
* When the dealer is showing an 8 or higher you’re going to need to hit until you get at least 17+ and when the dealer has a 4-6 you should stand with anything over 12 because you don’t want to bust. The percentages of the dealer busting when showing a 4-6 is almost 50% so you don’t want to bust these hands, you want to make the dealer beat you.
* When you have a 10 or 11 it’s wise to double down your bet and take one more card because the chances of hitting 20 or 21 is pretty high. You’re going to make most of your money on your double downs so keep this in mind when playing blackjack.
* Splitting hands can be beneficial because it allows you to win two bets in one hand, but you could also lose two bets. It’s recommended that you only split pairs when the dealer is showing a low valued card equal to lesser value then your card. You should also never split pairs when you’re holding a pair of face cards, tens or fives. The reason being is that it’s much better to win one bet then it is to lose two bets.
* When you play at a casino you should always make sure you first find a blackjack table which will work for your bankroll. If you have $200 don’t play on a $20 minimum table, look for a table where the minimum is around $5. You should also scout the blackjack tables when you first arrive to the casino and look for players with big stacks. Typically big stacks means the players are winning on the table and you want to find a winning table.
* Most professional blackjack players will insist that you never buy any insurance when you’re playing blackjack because it always gives the house the advantage over the long run.
* Whether you’re counting cards or not you need to change the amount you bet every once in awhile. If you haven’t won a hand in 3-4 times then you should raise your bet a little bit to recoup some of the lost hands. Usually you’ll break even on wins and losses in hands which is why you need to raise your bets, double down and split pairs every know and then.
* Never get mad at the black jack online dealer if you begin losing because it only makes you look bad and could cause you to get kicked out of the casino if it’s bad enough. You should also tip the dealer once every time they go on break and a new dealer arrives, especially if you won some money while they were dealing.
